What is CE Safety Certification?

CE rating, short for "Conformité Européenne," is a certification marking indicating that a product conforms to specific safety and environmental standards according to European safety standards.

At present, Australia has no legal safety rating requirement for protective gear. To ensure your safety, we only stock products that are CE safety rated.

The As, B, and Cs of Certification Classes

Motorcycle clothing has different classifications:

CLASS AAA/AA/A

Provides protection against impacts and abrasion. AAA offers highest protection, and meets strict requirements.

CLASS B

Offers abrasion protection but no impact protection.

CLASS C (Over/Under)

Holds impact protectors, offering impact protection where protectors are placed.

CE-rated Armour is evaluated slightly differently in relation to how much force the armour can absorb:

LEVEL 1

Lower Performance Rating. Has a maximum transmitted force below 18 kN.

LEVEL 2

Higher Performance Rating. Has a maximum transmitted force below 9 kN.
